Long-time member (going back to MCAI and ITVA days) Lynn Yeazel has been a key player with Tektronix for many years. Now they want you to know about an important training session Thursday, March 30th in Glendale. It's about SDI over IP, HDR and 4K Conversions…real cutting edge stuff, featuring expert Steve Holmes.

Talk about Nice Guys!...Producer-Videographer Bill Ennis and his company Media Magic have recently finished a pro bono fundraising video for The First Tee of Orange County, which develops life skills in children and teens throughout the county. Good Work, Bill!
THERE"S A LOT MORE...

VO artist and Coach, Anne Ganguzza http://anneganguzza.com/ has not only been busy recording for clients such as, Cisco, Hyundai and Kia of Portland …and running the VO Peeps Workouts with world class experts like Dave Walsh, Scott Brick and others including Directors and Casting Directors…she's now created the VIPeeps Educational Club. vopeeps.com It's a special subscription membership offering access to custom webinars, chats, a private FaceBook group and a lot more! Anne has built VO Peeps into a world-wide powerhouse and now all voice actors can join the club! Congrats Anne! This is exactly what's needed! See the video HERE

And speaking of Coaching… A former student of Anne Ganguzza, SAG-AFTRA Actress and SoCal Media Pros member Kathleen Kosche´ is anxiously awaiting the premier of her latest on-screen role as Peter's Mother in "Heavenly Deposit."  The film, directed by George Vincent and Rick Irvin is about a faithless man who has a life changing encounter.

Wearing his other hat as producer-director-writer for his company, Show Me Multi Media, hyphenate Larry Stimson and wife Maureen have just completed a short screen play titled, "Sophia." The prolific pair brainstormed this new story about a "smart watch" that is much too smart and now trying to control the life of its owner. Is it a thriller? A comedy? These two are capable of anything!  "Sophia" is scheduled to start production very soon. Stimson will direct and it will be produced by the OC Indy Filmmakers group.

Wow! Talk about busy…Bill A. Jones will have an appearance in March on TVLand series, "The Soul Man," starring Cedric the Entertainer. They shot it a while back at CBS Studio Center in Studio City and will be part of the new season. Bill's website has a great picture taken on the lot with character actors Don Lake and John Beasley, comedian Kevin Nealon and Bill— four famous character faces…check it out! All this and a recurring role on "Powerless," too? How does he do it?

Actor-Director Brian Page has wrapped his stage role in the Agatha Christie play at Newport Theater Arts www.ntaconline.com — the successful run ended Feb 26th—and is taking a break before his next show…Meanwhile, he is hosting the March 15 SoCal Media Pros meeting "Make Your Script Come Alive...with Acting & Directing."

SoCal Media Pros are multi-talented! Art Kirsch has just gone online with a website he created for a client. It involved close to 100 product profiles and transactional software. …And he's still busy with SoCalShowbiz.com

Twin Oaks Communications, under creative mogul, John W. Coleman, recently spent a few days shooting at the Anaheim Convention Center for Habitat for Humanity! They captured over 300 volunteers packing up items donated by TRUE VALUE hardware after a recent sales convention. Coleman says he's shot in over a dozen convention centers around the US! He's really gotta get outside more!

The busiest lady we know is Grace McKay who owns Electric Pictures, OC's largest Film Transfer and Telecine facility. She serves clients including Hollywood studio archives and independent filmmakers by working in just about every film and digital format…and now she's going back into production (very briefly) to produce a short video showing the sophisticated process of making high quality transfers. With all her Telecine equipment it promises to be fascinating!

Producer-Cinematographer Tom Smith of Thomas Smith Productions is freelancing as a shooter on a series of corporate podcasts… and in his spare time editing promos for his own retail clients…kinda the best of both worlds!

That well-known brewer and VO guy, Joe Nagle, coming off his successful FRED Talk at our February SoCal Media Pros Meeting Joe reports that he delivered his latest Audio Book narration before deadline. Interestingly, the author is releasing his major tome, a government political screed, chapter by chapter! And Nagle is THE VOICE!

Producer- Videographer Mark Alexander is producing documentary style videos for attorneys involved in mediation and trials. He is growing Verdict Videos, now in it's 7th year, into the premier legal video production company in Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange counties.

If you haven't kept up with Gary Stone of Gold Standard Productions you may be surprised to learn he's turned his passion for music into a pastime as promoter of house concerts! It's not really new for him but it is bigger and better than ever! Gary told us he is booking some fabulous acts for his Canciones House Concerts this coming summer. Find it on Facebook!

…Oh, wait, you didn't think Gary quit video did you? No Way! He shot his latest Gold Standard Productions project all over California—in exotic Diamond Bar and historic Sacramento—for All State Insurance! It's a series of interstitials to be used in corporate meetings focusing on various themes -- the latest one about veterans. Naturally they were edited in the upstairs post production suite at Gold Standard in the back woods of Santa Ana!
